By accessing our website, registering for an event, purchasing a ticket, or buying a product from Chicago Afternoon Tea Society (operated by JL Tea Collective LLC, “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

Use the site to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site
Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from our site without written permission
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

Tickets & Events

No Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. Refunds are issued only if Chicago Afternoon Tea Society cancels the event entirely, in which case all guests receive a full refund within 10 business days.

Ticket Transfers

Can’t make it? All tickets are transferable at no charge. Email chiafternoonteasociety@gmail.com with your order number and the new guest’s name and email at least 24 hours before the event.

Event Changes & Conduct

We reserve the right to modify event details and will notify registered guests of any material changes. We also reserve the right to remove any guest whose behavior is disruptive, discriminatory, or threatening — without refund.

Alcohol Service

Where alcohol is included in the ticketed experience, it is served under the venue’s licensed coverage to guests 21+ with valid ID only. We reserve the right to refuse service.

Product Sales

All product sales are final. If your order arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion. Shipping timelines are estimates and not guaranteed.

Intellectual Property

All branding, content, event concepts, product names, and the “Curated Experience of Origin” concept are the intellectual property of JL Tea Collective LLC. You may share our content on social media with credit to @ChiAfternoonTeaSociety. Commercial use without written permission is prohibited.

Photography at Events

By attending an event, you consent to being photographed or filmed for our marketing and social media. If you prefer not to be included, notify staff on the day or email us in advance.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, JL Tea Collective LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific ticket or product at issue.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Illinois law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Cook County, Illinois.
